The day is almost here. In 12 short hours I will be boarding a plane to Ghana. Even after studying the country for 10 weeks, I am still unsure of what to expect upon arrival. Part of me can’t wait to get on the plane, and the other part of me is dreading leaving my family and friends for such an unfamiliar place.

Despite the nervousness and the butterflies in my stomach, I know that this will be a life changing experience. Stepping, or in this case, leaping outside of my comfort zone is absolutely terrifying, but at the end of that comfort zone is where life truly begins.
I’m ready to face my fears, embrace the unfamiliar, and begin my journey. Ghana, here I come!
