Pictures Worth Thousands of Words

By Kyla Morris

It has officially been a full week in Accra, and there has been a mix of feelings and
thoughts, reactions to this new environment, and shifts in perspectives. This first week of our program has been devoted to acclimation. We have solely been focusing on exploring the area and adjusting to the culture in which we will be living and working for the next five weeks. Each of our first six days was spent exploring a part of the Ghanaian culture that serves as a pivotal aspect of the country. I enjoyed having this opportunity before beginning our internships as it
allowed us to feel comfortable and capable of navigating these spaces independently.
The following pictures document the experiences and represent the memories that will stay with us forever!
