For my first assignment at my internship, The Daily Guide, my coworker and I went to the University of Ghana Medical School (UGMC). We covered their 5th-year anniversary and proposal for a clinical trial unit. The hospital showcased its appreciation for its staff and students who bring UGMC to life. For context, they had a few performances from their choir, a couple of solo artists, and remarks from their CEO and Chairman to honor its 5th year anniversary. After understanding the importance of a place like UGMC and hearing about the incredible work that they have been doing for the last 5 years, it was time to listen to the proposal for its first-ever clinical trial unit.
UGMC shed light on its main focus for the clinical trial unit; to offer medicine that works for the citizens in the community because abroad treatment doesn’t have the same effect on black people.
