Understanding the problematization regarding sex and gender-based violence in Ghana

By Suenia de Azevedo

My internship at the Alliance for Reproductive Health Rights, a Ghanaian NGO, focuses on the development of communicational material regarding the protection of reproductive health rights for women and children of Ghana. One of my assigned tasks was writing an article regarding sex and gender-based violence in Ghana, which is the most common type of violence. Sex and gender-based violence includes physical, sexual, economic, and mental forms.
